Alliance Standing Options.
OK here is the thing. during the Preview event weekend we had the option to play out both side Lux and Kur with manipulation of personal faction points to get the npcs to talk to you for quests and to attain Map bips on both sides right?
Well in the current build from Factions going Gold this seems to be only possible as long as no one has any Alliance Faction standing (thus no Alliance battles are possible). If you form an alliance (I know its not implemented yet because of a few bugs they discovered but bear with me)
SO Ok you form an Alliance, and get 3 or 4 guilds together at 1k an Invite (current max is 10 Guilds it seems). And we all decide to go Luxon to get those map bips and do those missions. OK great. We get to Harvest Temple and back to Palace for final story missions. great. now what? We play with the alliance battles from time to time, sure... that's where the standing come into play right? And the elite missions if we are REALLY REALLY LUCKY. ok fine BUT....
What if that Alliance more realistically later wants to go back to do the Kurzicks side?
At the moment, we would have to disband the alliance entirely, and in the case of the alliance leaders guild they would have to dump their guild hall to get rid of all the alliance faction points to restart. This would mean the 500K+ gold put into that guilds upgrades would be lost... Personally I think that's a rather steep penalty don't you???
I propose the following. And option to eliminate the faction standing if the alliance chooses too. I mean atm Our guild still has 1 Kurzick Faction standing left over from the Preview weekend. But we have been wanting to go Luxon this time around and just can't seem to be able to get rid of the 1 standing point. It never goes away it seems... and because of it the Luxon people will not talk to us at all.
There needs to be a way to allow the alliance to change their mind to get the rest of the map bips and quests if they want too...
If anything I'm saying here does not sound right or has been disproven please let me know. I am more then willing to stand corrected, but thus far this is the problem I am having...
thanks,
